Fundamental duties include preparing and sterilizing all surgical instruments, organizing surgical instruments according to the surgeon’s preferences, collecting used instruments, preparing the operating room for surgery, post-op bandaging and monitoring patient vital signs. The program is offered on a day and evening schedule where students will learn essential support before, during and after surgeries. The integration of lecture, “real-life” patient simulation and 750 hours of clinical experience gives our students everything they need to work confidently side by side with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other surgical staff.
