Since you haven't insulted me yet, I'll give it a try. Perhaps if you respond to questions from people that are trying to help you, you'll get more help. Twice you've been asked to verify that it is is food cart pushers that are drowning in the flood, and not straw cart pushers (which are also produced by grain farms). But now that I have to build a monument which takes time, I lose. lasts long enough for me to pass a quest. The only reason I have passed several levels is because I pour my money into the harvest, prais the gods, which double, then food goes to all homes but does not last. If i remove SY the carts just stand there and no food goes anywhere. My granaries are 99% always empty, hence bazaar won't get food. I can see the workers out there drowning with the food. I usually end up with 2 workcamps working all grain and chickpea farms. but I have 5 grain or chickpea farms, i try to allocate 5 workcamps for each farm but this fails all the time. I can not get past meager shanty in most cases, sometimes i can get to modest homestead but this is after a good crop and soona after the houses devolve to shantys again. I place houses, small group near workcamp which is close to granaries.

When right clicking on granaries, there is no comment about no workers nearby.

in any case, one ratio in the game does not necessarily have an effect on the other. do you mean that you have two farms to 5 breweries? that's not an unreasonable ratio, although it does depend on how good your farms are. I don't quite understand your last question. farms need new workers every 6 months.because of the distance factor between farms and the work camp, a reasonable ratio to keep the farms running smoothly for the entire growing season would be 1 work camp to 5 farms. What basically happens is that a work camp will send out a worker a couple of times a month. building too many work camps is a cheap easy way to get employment shortages. it looks to me like you got the ratio exactly wrong- it should be 5 farms to 1 work camp. I think you're building too many work camps. building storage yards will make the problem worse aside from which bazaar ladies will not buy nonimported food from a storage yard only from a granary.Ī bazaar buyer will not buy pottery unless the housing requires pottery to evolve to the next level, or to maintain current housing levels. If not I'm sure someone else will be along very shortlyįood distribution- is there a road connecting the farms to the granaries? if so, are the granaries fully staffed? if they are not, then they will not accept the food, and hence the bazaars won't get food. They use up too many of the employees.įor a housing block, I may have two bazaars and have one only buy food. I usually only have one or two work camps per flood plain - that seems to be enough for me. If some of your farmers are standing in the fields and then drowning, set a storage yard to 'fill up to 1/4 full' and they will leave the flood plains and wait till a granary has space. In that case, set it up so it is 'importing to maintain 0' of that food and the bazaar ladies will pick it up from the SY's. One exception is if you can import that particular food. I usually do not let my storage yards accept food because the bazaar workers will not pick up from a storage yard. When you right-click on the granary, does it say "No workers live nearby" or "Poor access to workers"? How far away are your nearest houses from the granary? Do you have a shortage of workers? Do you have a road block separating your industries/storage yards/ granaries and all of your houses? Workers can't get though the road blocks.
